VHF-156 HD "Hot Rod" is a heavy duty Marine VHF 6dB gain antenna designed to give years of optimum performance under the most severe weather and vibration conditions. Due to its excellent propagation pattern and low angle of radiation, clipping and fading are minimized. The design of this antenna enables it to consistently outperform its competitors. Use of a larger diameter rod, instead of a small wire, decreases resistive losses and provides an increased radiation surface. These antennas each come with 11' of RG-58A/U 50 ohms coaxial cable and can be special ordered with additional 11' increments of cable if needed at an additional price. CBFG - This fine fiberglass unit is for all weather use on sailboats and powerboats. The antenna is designed with corrosion-resistant aluminum tubing in all radiating elements and is hermetically sealed in a tapered fiberglass tip.
